Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using RateMyFart ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

2. Your Account

Accounts are created via Google OAuth. You may only have one account per person. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your Google account secure.

3. User Content

You retain ownership of content you upload. By uploading content to RateMyFart, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and process your content as part of the Service.

You confirm that you have the rights to all content you upload and that it does not infringe on any third party's rights.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload illegal or harmful content
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Distribute spam or unsolicited content
• Upload malware or malicious files
• Attempt to access other users' accounts
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

5. Content Moderation

We reserve the right to review, remove, or disable access to content that violates these Terms. We may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate our policies.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by Rok Garbas s.p. User-generated content remains the property of its creators, subject to the license granted in Section 3.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rok Garbas s.p. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for using the Service (which is zero for the free tier).

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Slovenia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ljubljana, Slovenia.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may delete your account, which will remove your data (including all your recordings and ratings).

We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
